Concerning Ephesians 2:1-3, David Taylor writes: “As a natural child of the prince of the power of the air I was a person whose stubborn, defiant will made of wicked God-defying fabric stronger than steal so that I or any earth bound misfit could not subdue. So in pretense I and others ‘tried to train our dragon’ or ‘accept our fate.’ When the power of God’s redeeming love through the shed blood of Jesus Christ cracked the spine of that demonic prison it was broken and unable to hold me any longer. So now to prevent advancement, using deception and stealing God’s truth, that wounded oppressor tries to remind who I was, even though I know I am not who I used to be. Praise Jesus alone.”
