Is Being a Member of a Local Church a Blessing or a Curse?

Departing in Order to Increase with Christ

— WHEN he used the phrase “the house of God, which is the church of the living God,” was the great apostle of the mysteries of God speaking here about a physical building people meet at on Sunday morning? The very next words give a clue to the answer:

“These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: 15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” 1 Timothy 3:14-15

We see here that “the pillar and ground of the truth” is the fruit of the true remnant “house of God” – “the church (people) of the living God.”

Note there is no hint or mention of pews, ridiculous stained glass windows, one pastor controlling all, building a church business, salesmanship, gimmicks, etc. These things have been fabricated for the self-serving agenda and purpose of those who formulated this business system. Such things have nothing to do with Christ’s body and the living, abiding revealing of Himself to His true, blessed body. Jesus Christ alone is worthy of our praise and He will share His glory with no vile human or demonic entity (Isaiah 42:8; 1 Corinthians 1:29, 31). Those distractions, interceptors, and absorbers of God’s resources are the invention of devils and hireling wolves. In fact, they are tools of satan to steal the glory from the One who bled and rose again to purchase His body. Read Colossians 2.

MESSAGE RECEIVED:

“I have left so many churches brother. Isn’t there just one church that preaches the truth? People say that, not that it matters because it shouldn’t, that I’m unstable because I keep separating myself from the assembly of believers. But I cannot sit under false teaching. Jesus in me will not let me. It literally makes my skin feel strange. Like I’m screaming inside. I can’t explain it. Such as when people make videos to show these false teachers in action. I can barely take it. Can you understand where I’m coming from?” CJ

REPLY:

When Jesus said “I will build my church,” just what did He mean? Surely we know that such had nothing to do with building physical buildings in this fleeting world. No, Jesus meant that He was going to build His spiritual kingdom in the hearts of those who came to Him in repentance and faith to be saved. We are “a spiritual house” or family (1 Peter 2:5).

Are there still a few church gatherings that hold to the love and truth (written Word) of Christ? Yes – a very “few.” (Matthew 7:13-14; Luke 12:32)

It’s all too often assumed that because someone or a group have set up a “church building” around which their organization revolves, that such makes them official or authenticated by Heaven. Really? How gullible we are at times. Think about this: All of the antichrist cults of which Satan himself is head, have lots of real estate, buildings and dollars. That doesn’t authenticate them in the eyes of Heaven. They are His very enemies (Philippians 3:18-19; Galatians 1:6-9, etc.). Jesus says that “My kingdom is not of this world.” (John 18:36)

Separating ourselves from a Sunday morning church group is NOT necessarily separating ourselves from the true body of Christ. In fact, in most cases, to have a pure relationship with Christ, the true disciple must get away from the “MANY false prophets” who run those church businesses. Leaving a false ministry that is not fulfilling Christ’s Great commission to simply teach and preaching His Word, is the sign and fruit of stability and soundness in Christ, not instability (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 15:15-20; Acts 5:42; 2 Timothy 4:1-5, etc.). God’s Word uses and speaks of being “sound in the faith,” having a “sound mind,” a “sound heart,” and this all comes from having “sound doctrine.” YES there’s just one church that preaches the truth – the REAL church – the called out one and that’s how we know they are His true remnant church (John 8:31-32, 47, etc. … And that has nothing at all to do with Sunday morning in the apostate church world. How is fellowship with the “spirit of antichrist” glorifying God when He told us to get away from it? (Romans 16:17-18; 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1; 1 Timothy 6:3-5 KJV; 1 John 4:1-3). In fact, we are commanded to “from such withdraw thyself.” (1 Timothy 6:3-5 KJV) We have to release the modern and our false obligation to it and all the manipulations we’ve sat under to get us to patronize those churches and ministers. Pure “Nicolaitan”witchcraft which Jesus says He hates (Revelation 2:6, 15). Perhaps He’s calling someone who’s reading this to leave the structure of the organized, meet-on-Sunday-morning church and to become a “daily”disciple of His – not to wait for Sunday to be religious while vainly believing that that is what pleases God as we have been manipulated to believe (Luke 9:23-24; Acts 2:42). And, as we leave we can clear to Him, and to walk by faith on the water with Christ Himself like Peter did while the 11 sat in the boat. The organized church is a crutch for many and we don’t even realize it … He’s calling us to step out of the boat and walk on the water with Him and see and experience that He alone can sustain and uphold us and He sure will continue to do the good work HE alone began in us. He doesn’t need rebels who claim to know Him yet will not follow the instructions of His plain Word to teach or lead us. Jesus alone is the Good Shepherd of His sheep who hear His voice and follow Him alone and no other (John 10:1-10; Hebrews 13:20). In fact we will grow in strides and “increaseth with the increase of God” which can only come from truly upholding Christ the Head of His body (Colossians 2:18-19). God deliver us and bless us not be of those who are “ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth,” but having only a mere “form (weekly, Sunday morning formula) of godliness” and yet are truly lovers of our own selves, not Christ (2 Timothy 3:1-7) …. It’s very healthy to “Come OUT from among them and be ye separate” (2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1). Think about how Jesus threatened to remove His candlestick from the 7 churches in Revelation 1-3 …. Ichabod – meaning the LORD has departed … do we not think He has already done that (departed) with most of the organized churches today? Christ told the Laodicean church that He was going to spew (vomit) them out of His body and then said, as He says this moment to those who have turned away from His Word – “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” (Revelation 3:17-22)

What Is the Church?

In the Bible the word church is a translation of the Greek word ekklesia, meaning “a calling out.” It never refers to a building or meeting place, but always to people, the ones “called out” of the world’s society by God calling them into His service. The Church of the Bible is not a cold, stone building, but a group of warm and loving people specially chosen by God.

In the Scriptures church can refer to the group of believers in a particular location, such as a city or region, or to the entire body of believers God has called.

So a building with no worshipers cannot really be a church in the biblical sense. The New Testament Church is a group of people called out of this world’s society by God, even if they meet in a rented hall or on a grassy hillside. For example, the apostle Paul greeted the church—the congregation of people—that met in the house of Priscilla and Aquila in Rome (Romans 16:3-5).

What are the roots, the history, of the Church? What sets apart people whom God calls His own? How does God use the Church to achieve His purposes? What does the Church do for us, and what should its members do for the Church? How can we be part of what God is doing through His Church?

When Jesus said, “… I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18), He was saying the Church—His chosen people—would not die out. It would be alive-a warm and caring body of believers, thriving and flourishing in oneness with Christ and one another, and serving God by faith and practical obedience to His Word — to do His work and support each other. Today, with so many conflicting doctrines and practices, how can we recognize the Church Jesus built?

TORAH Keepers Slammed

The value in Torah is that it pointed to, it prefigured the coming Messiah – Jesus Christ. It also established by God says is sin. It could not save. It is utterly inferior to the New Covenant brought by the Messiah. Read Hebrews 8-10.

Those still seeking to earn their own salvation via law keeping are outside of Christ’s kingdom and being called by Him to truly repent and believe upon Him – He who paid the full price for their sins on the cross (John 19:30). You are fully guilty in His holy eyes and He yet fully paid the only price that could have been paid to make you one with Him and the Father. You owe a debt you cannot pay. He paid a debt He did not owe. That’s how much Jesus loves you. Those who deny Christ by saying no to His offer and instead seeking to work for their own salvation, are doomed in sin, now and forever.

Gaebelein complains rightly:

“A judaistic Christianity which, with a profession of Grace and the Gospel, attempts to keep the law and fosters legal righteousness is a greater abomination in the eyes of God than professing Israel in the past, worshipping idols.”

Jesus came to “fulfil” the law which means to expire the law (Matthew 5:17-18)…. by perfectly keeping it, nailing it to the cross, and taking it out of the way so His new creatures can walk by the Spirit, by grace to fulfill all righteousness (Romans 8:2-4; Colossians 2:14-19).

MESSAGE RECEIVED:

“Why you understand the word “fulfil” to mean to expire is baffling, it is plain and clear in Greek.”

REPLY:

The law is expired “FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS” and not completely. The law reveals to us how sinful we are (Gal 3:24; Rom 5:20). The law establishes what God require (Romans 7:12) Law simply means instruction. Law does a lot more than expose sin. It arouses sin and causes sin to INCREASE. Rom 7:5; 5:20

Trying to keep the law to be right with God is a farce. “Keeping Torah” is a scam.

It’s time for you to repent and get into the LORD’s NEW Testament which replaced the old and is infinitely superior to the old (Heb 8-10). Moses, the law, cannot save you. Only Jesus can. John 1:17

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:2-4

We are saved by, espoused to, and committed to Christ, not the law (John 1:17; Romans 10:4; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Galatians 2:20-21). The law is perfect and yet makes no one righteous (Romans 3:28; 7:12; 10:4; Galatians 2:16, etc.). The law reveals just how wicked we are – in order to bring us to Christ (Romans 7; Galatians 3:24). Jesus nailed the ordinances of the law to the cross, taking it away, out of our way (Colossians 2:14-19). The New Covenant, ratified in the very blood of the Messiah, is all about Jesus, our “first love” and not law keeping (Romans 10:4; Revelation 2:4-5). Our worship is to Him. Read Romans 3:31; 8:2-4 closely. Pour over it prayerfully. Those who are born again into Christ, walking in the Spirit, will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh but rather the righteousness the law demands but never afforded the ability to perform until Christ came! (John 1:17) Christ’s New Testament disciples are full of His Holy Spirit and don’t walk around everyday trying to “keep Torah” as the Hebrew roots cult would lead one to believe. No, they love Jesus who saved them and walk in the power of His Holy Spirit, by the Word of God and fruitfully please God through the crucified life (Luke 9:23-24; John 15; 2 Corinthians 4:10-12; Galatians 2:20-21). The believer, walking out the daily cross – crucified life – is raised up and divinely enabled, by God’s enabling grace, the operational power of God, to fulfill all righteousness (Romans 8:3-4; 12-14; Galatians 5:14-24).

The law makes no one righteous but only convicts and reveals just how sinful we are and how much we need Christ – not more attempted law-keeping! (Romans 3:28; 7; Galatians 2:16; 3:24)

“Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Romans 4:4-5

Note: Those working to earn salvation do not have saving grace – are not saved.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Anyone who gets saved and then doesn’t drill down into the doctrinal letters and epistles and get grounded in grace through faith justification and living, will be susceptible to being deceived by the antichrist judaizers in our midst. It will cost many of them their eternal souls. There will be not 1 law-keeping judaizing snake in Heaven. If you don’t know that, you are biblically illiterate. Romans. Galatians. Ephesians. Philippians. Colossians. Hebrews.

Biblical Justification

Men are “justified by faith” and kept “by faith.”

“Justified by faith”

“Therefore we conclude that a man is JUSTIFIED BY FAITH without the deeds of the law.” Romans 3:28

“Kept by faith”

“Who are KEPT by the power of God THROUGH FAITH unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” 1 Peter 1:5

Justified by faith but sanctified by law keeping????

NOT. “The just (those justified by God) shall live by faith.”

Born again New Testament disciples are saved by grace through faith. They are saved, justified, and sanctified by faith. They live by faith and not by law or law keeping. See Hebrews 11:6.

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith (not law to law): as it is written, The just shall live by faith (not law keeping).” Romans 1:17

“But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live BY FAITH.” Galatians 3:11

“Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back (go back to law keeping), my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:38

“Cut Off”

TODAY, MAY God “cut off” every vile devil who seeks to bring God’s people back under the curse and yoke of the law, in Jesus’ name (Galatians!).

“I would they were even cut off which trouble you.” Galatians 5:12

ONLY Messiah kept the law perfectly….. no other man ever did…. only MESSIAH can save, not law…. “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” James 2:10

Only Jesus kept the law perfectly and then nailed it to the cross and “took it out of the way.” (Colossians 2:14-19) Law-keeping can’t save anyone. The Law simply reveals to us just how wicked we are (Romans 7). If law, law-keeping could save us, why did God send and allow His only begotten Son to be crucified for our sins? Have you ever read Galatians 2:16, 21? What about Romans 10:4? How Does God Justify a Person?

Breaking just 1 commandment makes us guilty of breaking the whole law – James 2:10.

Fake Jews?

The Holy Spirit through Paul tells us who the true and false jews are – “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” Romans 2:28-29

E. F. Kevan says:

“Paul saw that circumcision for justification was not the innocent little rite that the unthinking man might assume it to be. To undergo circumcision was to seek to be justified by a legalistic method of law-keeping, and thus to deny the very foundations of grace.”

Was Christ’s sacrifice perfect? What it enough? Yes or no?

One MUST leave Christ, to depart from the only Savior, to go back to law-keeping. Such a person has denied Christ, has “fallen from grace” – is under a spirit of witchcraft, and is no longer saved (Galatians 3:3; 5:4).

The only reason people are running around claiming they are going to “keep torah” is because they do not know and have up till now rejected Christ! The Jewish Messiah has already come and is the only one ever to perfectly keep torah – then he nailed it to the cross and took it away!!!

“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;” Colossians 2:14

“For there are MANY unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision (judaizers):” Titus 1:10

TORAH Turbulence Silenced with God’s Word

Recently, after times of severely, mercilessly blasting Judaizers a dear sister weighed in with the following (Galatians 2:4-5). This sister gets it!!! Anna Lisa writes:

“People who call themselves ‘Torah observant’ are actually anti-Christs (you’re right), because they are in actuality DENYING the TRUE and PERFECT work that ONLY CHRIST has fulfilled!”

Christ Has Set Us Free

In this passage below, being circumcised = being under the law, any part of it, such as keeping a sabbath day, etc. Law or grace? Each must choose between Moses (OT) and Jesus (NT). You are either under the law or under grace but not both. If you are antichrist enough to think you can be justified by your own laugh keeping, good luck dupe – because you are personally accountable to keep it all perfectly from birth thill the end of your life. And if you fail in just 1 point of the whole law, you are guilty of breaking it all before a holy God (James 2:10). Read carefully:

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.” Galatians 5:1-4

Wondering Just What “Judaizing” Means?

Here it is in the words of Christ’s apostle Paul:

“And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily (secretly) to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: 5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.” Galatians 2:4-5

Judaizers are those who seek to move saved people away from Christ and back under law! There is nothing in New Testament Scripture rebuked more severely than this antichrist evil. Paul didn’t give them even an hour of his time!

BEWARE OF THE CHRIST-DENYING TORAH KEEPING DEVILS:

“What part of “I AM YHWH I change not” or Yeshivah sayaing “I have not come to do away with the law/torah but to fill it utterly full” or “not even the smallest part of the law/torah will pass away until it is ALL utterly brought into being” don’t you understand?”

WHAT part of “It is Finished” do you not understand? (John 19:30) SHOW US ALL where Jesus or His apostles ever even 1 time instructed NEW Testament saints to keep any certain day???? You are not saved. You are trusting in your own futile ability to keep the whole law perfectly and in utter need of repentance before it’s too late.

MAKE NO MISTAKE: The vain attempt of law-keeping for righteousness is the highest insult to the Almighty who sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins! (Galatians 2:21) Torah-Keeping Judaizing Devils Busted and Exposed as Hell Bound Frauds!!!

You are not good. “There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10). You have personally sinned against a holy God in many ways and are fully guilty. God isn’t concerned about how good you think you are but rather that you would honor how good he is – that He would crucify His only begotten Son for our sins! AMENNNN sister. The truth, when it owns us, inoculates us from heresies like this – which are soul damning.

Another one below…. Notice how this demonic witch below says that our salvation depends on knowing the Hebrew and Greek languages, 2 dead languages. Wow. In other words, the devil is speaking through her and saying that we really don’t have God’s Word. That He lied to us by not keeping His Word to preserve His Word to us in our own language (Psalms 12:6-7). She mentions nothing of Christ’s sacrifice which plainly proves she doesn’t know Him who paid the full price for the sins of the whole world on that cross! (John 19:30)

“The Pesach sacrifice of Messiah is finished, your interpretation is warped and not scriptural also in revelations it speaks of those following the laws/torah of Moses and of the lamb/Messiah please read the word and study out the languages for your salvation depends on it and you will answer for the blood of those who you lead away from the truth.”

Please show us all WHERE O WHERE is the all-elusive Bible verse in the NEW Testament Scriptures that instructs NEWWWW Testament saints saved by grace through faith to keep any certain day? Did the Almighty somehow forget to tell us something He wanted us to know? …. No. Repent. You are a hell bound judaizer.

There are LOTS of judaizers in our midst saints. They trust their own ability to keep the whole law, all the time, perfectly. In this, they’ve rejected perfect, one-time sacrifice of Christ on the cross (John 19:30; Colossians 1:14, etc.). These are antichrists which means they put something, anything in place of Christ. They vainly believe that Jesus was not enough to save and redeem them but rather that we have to help God out by keeping the Old law.

WHY did Jesus ever bother coming if men could be justified by their own futile attempt at law keeping or trying to keep the whole law? James 2:10 anybody?

“I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” Galatians 2:21

If they don’t believe that Christ’s sacrifice was enough to redeem fully, they are not saved by grace (lost souls) but vainly believe keeping Torah (books of Moses) is going to save them. By rejecting Christ for law-keeping they have blasphemously denied Christ, the only Savior (John 1:17). PLEASE SHARE this post.

Keeping the LORD’s commandments doesn’t include law keeping or sabbath keeping to be righteous, justified. ANY person who teaches this heresy is an antichrist who has openly denied Christ’s perfect sacrifice was sufficient to completely justify His saints. Hebrews 8-10 contrasts the infinitely inferior Old Covenant with the infinitely superior New Covenant which was ratified in the very blood of Jesus Christ, which was merely foreshadowed under the Old Testament.
