PREPARATION TO BE USED OF THE LORD: Jesus calls us to Himself, to the cross, to the Word, and to be full of the Spirit and then we will not be able to contain or hold back His Word (Jeremiah 20:9; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 3:6; 4:12; 2 Timothy 4:2). We all have the King James Bible available. The only type of ministry that is Christ-honoring, whether spoken or written, is that which is packed with and rich in the Holy Scriptures .... no matter what the format/communication medium (1 Peter 4:11; 2 Timothy 4:2).Ministry is not a stage to perform on but rather a place to die to serve God and others! (Philippians 2:3-5)
We can say all the right things and have little affect on others - because there is a principle of leadership and here it is: YOU CANNOT LEAD SOMEONE ELSE WHERE YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO GO YOURSELF.
Think about this spiritually. If we haven't and aren't going daily to the cross - truly crucified with Christ - there will be little or no power of divine persuasion working through our lives.
When Jesus spoke while He was here in the flesh, there was divine power because of who He is. At the very end of His longest recorded sermon (sermon on the mount Matthew 5-7), we read this: "And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: 29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes." Matthew 7:28-29
COULD it be that God is allowing calamity to come upon us - because somewhere in our past, as believers, we cried out to the LORD to have His way in us - to truly conform us to the image of Christ? (Romans 8:28-29) Even Job had to be stripped. Many called out, bless-ed men of God are being stripped right now in this season and it's going to result in some of the most profound fruit from Heaven being produced to the glory of Christ! (John 15:2-3)
THOSE who are allowing the LORD to prepare them today, will be used by Him mightily in the coming days, weeks, and months (Joshua 3:5; 2 Corinthians 4:10-12; 2 Timothy 2:21).
"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." (John 15:16). The ministry is CHRIST's and not man's. ONLY Christ Himself can prepare and ordain a mere man into HIS ministry (John 15:16).
"Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer (jeweler)." (Proverbs 25:4)
Going through trials? This simply proves that God is working!
