LORD, Please Use Me to Win Souls!

Soul Winning is the Privilege and Work of Every True Disciple of Jesus

Please tell me beloved saints, WHO did Jesus place “ALL power… in heaven and in earth” in the possession of? WHOSE lap did He drop that key in? WHAT one people did the risen Son of the living God delegate His almighty, divine power to? Who? For what purpose? With these questions in mind, read this beautiful commissioning passage our Savior gave us after He rose from the dead:

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus tells us here that as we go, we go forth in His name and grace and love to do His work and that He is with us to the end of this mission: “I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

“Preach the Gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)

Saints, let us fuel the labourers of Christ who diligently labor to make Christ known-the infinitely most important and only eternal work in the earth! (Matthew 9:35-39) | Because You Care

The Word and the Holy Spirit are Needed

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. 17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:” 1 Peter 3:15-18

May God increase in us HIS wisdom…. to have His anointing, His love, His Word and holy conviction to bring people into a corner, the crossroad, to bring them to a decision to repent or turn from Christ …. asking them “Do you know where you’d go if you died today … and why would you go to ____________?” If their answer isn’t something definitive, something biblical like “I am washed in the blood of Jesus” or “I am saved by Jesus” or “I am born again by the saving grace of God in Christ”… then we know it’s time to caringly ask them … to pray with you. To ask them “Is there any reason why we couldn’t pray together right now to make absolute certain that Heaven lies ahead for you and not eternal hell?” …. I like to share with them that I’ve often prayed with people this way: “Right now LORD, if never before, I acknowledge that I’ve sinned against You as a sinful person. I am fully guilty. Right now I ask You to cleanse me Jesus, to take over my life. I repent now and turn my heart and life wholly to Thee dear LORD. Please fill me with Your Holy Ghost and use me. Thank You Jesus for finding and saving and washing me in Thy holy, precious blood. I love You dear LORD Jesus and thank You for saving me today.”

Jesus is the Soul Saver Who in His earthly life did the Father’s work. Before leaving to go back with the Father, Jesus delivered to all who will follow Him, the Great Commission command to go forth and preach His Gospel.

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” Mark 16:15-16

Jesus specifically says not to wait but to evangelize now. Jesus told us to do it now and not make excuse because eternal souls are in the balance.

“Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. 36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. 37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. 38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.” John 4:34-38

Jesus came to Rescue, Save Souls

“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10

The Father’s Business is Seeking to Save that which was Lost

“I must be about my Father’s business?” Luke 2:49

In what context did Jesus say: “I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen”? It was the Great Commission mandate He was giving. So, think about that. Think about how Jesus promised to be with us as we did HIS work, HIS business – not our own (Matthew 28:18-20). Are you busy about communicating God’s Word to others, or are you still doing your own thing? Can you truly claim this promise – “I am with you alway” – if you are doing your own thing instead of the LORD’s?

May God bless us to keep this in mind, in heart as we minister to those who seem to us to be so far gone, so wicked…. Saul was arrested by the LORD Jesus on his way to hurt more Christians. Then, the LORD blinded him and sent Ananias to him …. Notice Ananias calls him “Brother Saul” …

“And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. 11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, 12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. 13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: 14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. 15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: 16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake. 17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. 18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.” Acts 19:10-18

PRAYER: Holy Father, please use Your people for Your glory in this last hour. Fill me with Your Holy Ghost now dear Jesus. I love You my LORD Jesus. In Jesus’ name, amen!
