He is Worthy to be Thanked!

Worried about what’s going to happen tomorrow or beyond? Jesus knew we would be tempted to do such and yet, He is seeking to get us to understand that we can “Be still and know” that He is God and He alone owns you and your future and all that will come your way! – “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matthew 6:34) Obey Jesus by refusing to worry!

“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. ⁵ Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. ⁶ Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication (humble request) with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. ⁷ And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4-7

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” Psalms 35:27

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” Hebrews 13:15 

“O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.” Psalms 118:1

The Lack of Gratefulness is the Sign of Apostasy

“Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” Romans 1:21 

“For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,” 2 Timothy 3:2
