Powerfully Used of God: A Vessel Unto Honour [video]

Getting in on the Gospel action begins with a simple prayer, perhaps something like this …. LORD, please prepare and use me for Your glory. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

The man called out to serve the LORD must go through seasons of rigorous purgings, strippings, and persecution. This is seen in the lives of many of the patriarchs, prophets, and apostles.

“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” 2 Timothy 2:21

There’s no such thing as a “vessel unto honour” who is “meet (fit) for the master’s use” who is not a man purging himself from the things that displease God – laying “aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset” and running “with patience the race that is set before” him (2 Timothy 2:21; Hebrews 12:1-3).
