Your prayer life is a clear measure of how much you love God … or not.

THE WEDDING BELLS ARE RINGING! Do you hear the wedding bells beloved of God? There are few things so beautiful as a bride who eagerly awaits, prepares for and revels in the joy of marrying her bridegroom. This is all by divine design and is a picture of the true body, the bride of Christ that joyfully, eagerly prepares for the return our Bridegroom from Heaven (Matthew 25:1-13; Ephesians 5:25-27; Revelation 19:7-10).

If we do not relentlessly seek Him, we will grow cold toward Jesus and simultaneously warm up to the world. Before Peter’s betrayal of Jesus, he was prayerless and therefore warmed up to the world which led to his denial of Christ. – “And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.” (Mark 14:54)

The LORD is calling you to be Prayer-FULL instead of Prayer-LESS.

Be not deceived: You cannot sustain a life with Christ without daily fellowship with Him!

Ignoring the inconvenient truth concerning readiness for Christ’s return will bring irrevocable damnation! (Mark 4:17-19; 1 John 2:15-17) Hell is right now filled with those who ignored the warning signs. While on earth they refused to stop their life and look upward to their Maker, to make things right with Him. When He drew them they snubbed Him, relishing their darkness rather than His light and love (John 3:19-21).

IF you don’t authentically love the truth, aren’t humble, aren’t willing to change, you are a foolish virgin who will be shut out of Christ’s eternal kingdom! Repent now before it’s too late (Matthew 18:3-4; 25:1-3).

So, you count it inconvenient to get up early and seek God? What if Jesus would have considered it inconvenient to come die for you?

IF you are going to be a wise virgin believer who endures to the end instead of being shut out of Christ’s eternal kingdom, you must force feed the Word into your heart and mind daily, if that’s what it takes! Matthew 25:1-13

The difference between the 5 wise and the 5 foolish virgins in Jesus’ teaching, was that the 5 wise virgins stayed before the Bridegroom, and kept the affections of their hearts on Him and no other! Read Matthew 25:1-13.

WHEN we seek the LORD in private communion, He refreshes and refills us, then pours out His grace through us (Matthew 5:6; 6:6).

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6

IF you are not “filled” to the full by God it’s time to “hunger and thirst” for Him! The LORD tells us here that He only fills those who hunger and thirst for Him, who seek His face.

“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” Matthew 6:6

Without relationship, prayer communion with the LORD, He promised that you will NOT be with Him (Luke 12:40; 21:34-36).

If you don’t love Jesus enough to seek His face on this earth, you will not be with Him in Heaven!

Is Your Path Lit?

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12

As you seek and stay close to the LORD, abide in Christ, He fills your vessel with his burning oil which lights your way down the narrow way which leads to eternal life in glory. The oil in the lamp allows for the lighting of the path. With no light we are stopped, stranded.

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalms 119:105

Personally, I am constantly aware of the danger of the danger of the dehydration of the body and therefore continue to militantly force water into my body hourly. In the same way, and much more importantly with eternal consequence, we must be disciplined followers of Christ, empowered by His truth, the warning, and the Holy Spirit to “pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) “Men ought ALWAYS to pray and not to faint.” (Luke 18:1) Those who don’t drink lots of fresh water will have physical problems and those who don’t drink from the well of the LORD in prayer without ceasing, will suffer defeat here and eternally (Matthew 26:41) | Pray without Ceasing

Many today can be seen saying things like “I am ready to die for Jesus!” Or “I will never take the mark of the beast.” Keep in mind how Peter swore he’d never deny Christ and yet did “thrice” – 3 times (Matthew 26). Jesus then told us the only way to overcome and not deny Him. – “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41) Only those who are truly crucified with Christ now – learning the daily cross – will be ready and full of the grace of God to never deny Jesus (Luke 12:8-9).

IF you are not consistent and relentlessly diligent in seeking Jesus, you are not real! If you refuse to stay upon God you have not truly repented!

Those who choose to love God more than self are full of Christ, not self!

If you don’t take time with someone, you simply do not love them. Think about this in relation to your claim to love Jesus.

WHEN Jesus saves you, that’s the beginning of your relationship with Him – all the way into eternity. Yet you must engage in that relationship by daily seeking His face. Bible reading, prayer life, and fellowship with other believers is essential. If not, you will “fall away.” (Luke 8:13)

“Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these (divine promises) shall fail.” Isaiah 34:16

Charles Pray writes: “It is so sad that we posses a natural hunger for food so when ever we feel hungry we know that it is time to eat. If we choose to neglect that sign to eat after a period of time we will start to grow weaker and weaker. Should we just continue on that path soon we will end up dying. It is said that we all have a knowledge of God from the time we are first born. Unless we nurture that knowledge of Him by drawing closer to Him and learning more about Him we will eventually grow colder of Him and start seeking our own interests in life. A life without Christ is a life without hope joy peace love and most of all forgiveness. We need to have that same hunger but stronger than our natural hunger for God and His Word which feeds us spiritually and keeps us out of the danger of dying a second death which is total separation from God for all of eternity. Lord please help us have a greater hunger and love for your spiritual food than we have for our natural food. Let us hunger and thirst for your Righteousness oh Lord, Amen!”

IF you didn’t get into God’s Word FIRST this morning it’s because He’s not your “first love” – you are (Revelation 2:4-5). “Repent” now and confess your sins to Him. RETURN to Christ! NOW do we understand when Jesus says only a “few” will enter through the narrow gate? (Matthew 7:13-14)

NEEDING VICTORY?: Your time of worship with the LORD in the morning is the launch pad for a day of success, victory in Christ. Don’t kid yourself. If you don’t put Him literally first in your day, it’s only because YOU are first and your own idol. Repent now and determine that without fail, before you breathe in the morning – GOD COMES FIRST! Matthew 6:6, 33, period! OBEY GOD NOW. MUST-WATCH!
