These words Jesus used, “child of hell,” by definition mean that anyone who is a “child of hell,” is going to hell.

If you are a “child of hell,” per the biblical definition, it’s due to your following false leaders, mere men, instead of Christ Himself who gave you His Word in order for you to know Him and to keep you protected from the “MANY false prophets” He warned would “deceive MANY.” (Matthew 24:11)

A “child of hell” is one who does not “endure sound doctrine” but rather allows himself to be misled by false leaders. Are you intimately familiar with what 2 Timothy 4:2-4 says?

Did you know that Jesus used the phrase “child of hell”?

But in what context did He use this?

“ye make him twofold more the CHILD OF HELL than yourselves.” Matthew 23:15

Are you a “child of hell”?

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.” Matthew 23:15

In this passage, Jesus is citing false leaders for over-emphasizing the outward, the external things, instead of the heart (Matthew 23).

“(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)” Philippians 3:18-19

People become deceived when they refuse to seek God and read His Word themselves, study it diligently (2 Timothy 2:15). Instead they listen to someone else, some mere man or men to tell them about God instead of studying God’s Word for themselves. They’ve openly rejected Christ and will be damned eternally (Hosea 4:6; 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12).

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” Colossians 3:1-4

Throughout history, we can observe that SATAN has human agents who lead astray men (2 Corinthians 11:12-15, etc.). We also see that they can only mislead those who refuse to truly seek the LORD for themselves but rather just follow along with the church crowd, being led by the wolves He warned us would come and “deceive many.” (Matthew 24:11; 1 Corinthians 11:19; Hosea 4:6)

Throughout HIS-Story, the LORD declares how false leaders are responsible for misleading people to hell:

“For THE LEADERS (WHO?) of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.” Isaiah 9:16

AS it was in the days of Isaiah, so it is today. Most ministries have become nothing more than a place for charlatans to deceive and to rob the people – a “den of thieves” (Matthew 21:12-14). | Table Flipping Savior!

“His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. 11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. 12 Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.” Isaiah 56:10-12

Jesus taught that Children of the devil produce children of hell (Matthew 23:15; John 8:44). Every person produces after their own kind (Genesis 1). After Jesus saves a soul, it’s then Satan’s job to win that soul back to the kingdom of hell. He won Adam and Eve to himself by causing their fall through a lie, right? (Genesis 2:17; 3:4)

When speaking to a certain false prophet, the apostle Paul said:

“But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. 9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, 10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?” Acts 13:8-10

In the Galatian church, Paul said he’d rather the wolves who misled the people were “cut off.” Make no mistake, this is violent language. At the hands of the “MANY false prophets,” the wolves Jesus and His apostles warned us about, the eternal souls of men are at stake (Matthew 24:11; 1 John 4:1):

“I would they were even cut off which trouble you.” Galatians 5:12

By the Holy Spirit, Jesus’ apostle Peter warns us:

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” 2 Peter 2:1-3

Jesus warned, Paul, warned, Peter warned, Jude warned, John warned, and so did every prophet of God. They warned us of the persons and practices of Satan’s human emmisaries who pose as reprensentatives of Christ. They forewarned us to “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” (Matthew 7:15)

How do false leaders mislead people? They are only able to do so by way of the “lack of knowledge” of those who get saved and then do not continue in the Word. They do not follow through, enduring to the end with Jesus (Matthew 10:22; 24:13; John 8:31-32; Hebrews 3:6; 12-15; 10:26-39, etc.).

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4:6

Anyone who isn’t seeking God daily, who isn’t in His Word and doesn’t have a life of prayer, is already backslidden – not ready to meet Jesus. Today is the day to truly return to the LORD, to repent and return to Jesus as the “first love” of your life (Revelation 2:4-5; Hosea 14:1-2, etc.). | Fresh Start with God

To say that getting into and remaining into the Word God is important is an understatement:

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

Those who truly love the LORD put Him first (Matthew 6:33). Those who don’t desire more of Jesus, more of His Word, simply do not truly love Him and have forfeited their place with Him. | OSAS/Eternal Security is a lie from hell.

Jesus, please settle Your people. Make us to be “sound in the faith.” (Titus 1:13)

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32

After Jesus finds and saves us, we must continue in an abiding relationship with Him which will always result in the bearing of good fruit – including to avoid false teachings, false teachers (John 15:1-16).

“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Colossians 2:6-8

The LORD Lift Up His Countenance Upon Thee, and Give Thee Peace [podcast]

“For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:3-7

“The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. ” Numbers 6:24-26
