Forgive as You Have Been Forgiven with Todd Tomasella and Frank Telford [podcast]
“Thank you Lord for saving my soul, Thank you Lord for making me whole. Thank you Lord for giving to me Thy great Salvation so rich and free.” Charles Pray
Do you realize that if God isn’t going to forgive the person you are judging he’s also not going to forgive you? Is that what we want? “Forgive and ye shall be forgiven.” (Luke 6:37)
YOU and I do not make up the rules. God alone does. And He commands …
“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:” Luke 6:37
“AS we forgive our debtors” …
“And forgive us our debts, AS we forgive our debtors.” Matthew 6:12
The Gospel of Jesus is all about God forgiving sinners/us by sacrifice of His sinless, divine, perfect, and only begotten Son! He commands us to deal with others as He’s dealt with us – to forgive them! Please hit share on this post saints!
Clear it all out…. the past is the past saints … “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4:31-32)
When we hold bitterness in our hearts and choose not to forgive those who have wronged us it gives place to the devil. He will then come to steal our peace and joy. What also occurs is we offend God because He was willing to forgive us when we didn’t deserve it either. I struggled with unforgiveness and bitterness and it was this parable Jesus preached that help set me free.
IF the LORD isn’t a God of mercy, we’re ALL in trouble…. selah. Give out mercy like you need it – BECAUSE YOU DO!!!
YOUR serving of the LORD is not perfect. Neither is mine. Like the beloved David, each of us has ample reason to seeking God in repentance – like we read in Psalm 51. Let us pray for and bear the burdens of each other as Christ’s body. With this in mind, let’s listen to Christ’s apostles Paul:
“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.” Galatians 6:1-3
Ephesians 4:32
Colossians 3:12-14
Matthew 18:21-35
