Asbury Revival- ECUMENICAL SCHOOL OF MYSTICISM [video]
“People are divided over the Asbury revival. This is partially due to their definition of revival. Orthodox Christians may use a scriptural definition from 2 Kings 22 through 23, which states that King Josiah sent Shaphan to the house of God to count the offerings, so they could repair the temple. Shaphan found the book of God’s Law in the temple, and he read it to the king (2 Kings, 22, KJV). The king repented of his sins and he read the Book to the people. The people repented of their sins and returned to the written Word of God. They removed the pagan idols from God’s house. Then, they drove out the apostate priests and those who followed heretical teachings (2 Kings 23, KJV). In this pattern of revival, the people heard and returned to the law of God. Then they repented of their sins and removed the idols and apostate priests from the house of God.” by Phyllis Kathleen Gault
