David Wilkerson Debates The Jesus People – Angry Clash [video]

“There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Romans 3:18

Take a look. Watch the reaction of these “Jesus People.” In my opinion, these “Jesus People” are making a mock at the sin they openly admitted to and instead of being ashamed or sincerely repentant, they are mocking David Wilkerson for daring to have questioned them. Remember, these “Jesus People” are claiming to be Christians and His “ministers.”

“But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?  13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.” 1 Corinthians 5:11-13

They seem to be seeking to justify their sin and blame David Wilkerson for simply asking them about what they had admitted.

“Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding. 7 He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. 8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. 9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. 10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” Proverbs 9:7-10 

All they had to so is say something like: “Yes, thank you for caring brother David. We said that and it was wrong. We are repentant for our sins, and have asked God to forgive us and to give us His grace and full victory over all sin.”

“Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.” Proverbs 14:9

These are the same Jesus People from which all the phony revivals and “Jesus movies” have sprung forth. Jesus says:

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:15-21 

All who are “in Christ” are changed. They are humble and correctable and repentant for and confess their sins. They don’t cover them.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;” 2 Corinthians 5:17-18

David Wilkerson interviews typical “Jesus People” hippie lunatics acting as if they’re saved, justifying sin. Clearly, as you will see, there was no shame or conviction of their sin. They boasted of their sin. And those defending, bidding Godspeed to these counterfeits will receive the same judgment as they do – hell (2 John 10-11).

They are high on drugs right there in the interview. Notice their excuse-making and crass attitude towards the sin Jesus died to save His people from (Romans 6). They obviously have much to hide.

The godly person repents, confesses ALL sin and forsakes it (Proverbs 28:13). Counterfeits justify it, treat it lightly. That’s the difference.

There’s an eternity of difference between those who trip, who stumble into sin, then repent, confess their sin, and forsake the sin vs those who crassly live in sin…..

“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” Romans 6:1-2

“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness (license to sin), and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jude 4
