“21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”
YOU have not nor can you keep the 10 commandments perfectly! So just repent and fall on the mercy of the only ONE ever to do so – Jesus Christ!!!! Salvation is in HIM only – and not in your fake attempt to hide your sins by pretending you keep all God’s commandments perfectly! If you’ve broken just one of them you are guilty of breaking all of them! (James 2:10) We’ve all broken all of the commandments of God – which are there to show us just how sinful we are – in a divine attempt to get us to fall on His mercy in repentance and receive Christ! Admitting you are a sinner in need of THE SAVIOR and surrendering best sums it up! (Galatians 3:24, etc.)
In the Gospel of the grace of Christ we are justified by God by believing on the only One who kept the Law perfectly then died to take it away (Romans 3:21-28; 4:1-8; 10:4; Colossians 2:14-19, etc.). Pour over Romans saints. It’s the ABC’s of the Christian faith. THE DOCTRINAL BOOK OF ROMANS establishes the truth of the Gospel of the saving grace of God in Christ alone. GALATIANS is a severe rebuke, rebuttal, expose’ and attack on vile, antichrist (Christ-denying) judaizers! Please make it your endeavor to pour prayerfully over both of these magnificent books contained in the New Testament canon – to embed this blessed truth in your own heart and life and to equip you to earnestly, biblically defend the faith against judaizers! (Jude 3) Please share this post.
Say “10-4 Good Buddy” to law keeping. Memorize Romans 10:4 today (KJB).
Now read this following passage closely, prayerfully:
“Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Romans 4:4-5
Whenever we assert SELF into the equation, other than to simply surrender or acquiesce to His initiating grace, the legal enters and attributes virtue to us instead of Christ, our only righteousness.
“We can very easily turn any of this into legalism. Dying to self becomes an asceticism of self-killing of self like a suicide. Repentance becomes a work when viewed as a strictly prescribed step we must take toward God, something we must initiate instead of our response when we realize the poverty of self and the helpless hopeless circumstances that Satan is the cause of.”
Are You “Safe”?
Are you under law-righteousness?
Or, are you under grace-through-Christ-alone-righteousness?
The great apostle, under divine inspiration, told us how to be “safe.” (Philippians 3:1) But what do we need to be kept “safe” from?
“Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
3:2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision (judaizers!).
3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” Philippians 3:1-3
“The LORD looketh on the heart” and has miraculously circumcised the HEARTS of His people and there is no more need to physically alter the body which was only a mere shadow of the reality of the new creature in Christ (1 Samuel 16:7; 2 Corinthians 5:17-18).
“In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands (not physical), in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;” Colossians 2:11-13
Read Acts 15 for all it’s worth!
Among other things, we see that the law was reintroduced and Paul and Barnabas were furious and fought ardently against such (v1-2, etc).
We also see the “necessary things” Acts 15:28)…. Not one mention of keep a certain day/sabbath….. etc.
In summation of what transpired as the New Testament Gospel replaced the old, Travis Bryan III writes:
“The Jews in Israel failed to believe in Christ as a whole. There were only a few thousand that did. So when Israel rejected Christ, God moved the message out of where started to the Gentile nations thru Paul. The Jerusalem church got very poor and began to die out. When the gospel went out to the Gentiles the law requirement remained and continued in Jerusalem. Paul seemed to be okay with the believers in Jerusalem remaining under law as they had always been. But Paul really got hot when these missionary Judaizers come out of the Jerusalem Church (Peter, James and John) to the Galatians churches coming in behind Paul to put the law on Gentiles. Paul resisted that big time.”
Blowing Up Satan’s Foxholes!
Recently, in a public meeting, I asked a infiltrating judaizer “So, if keeping a certain day/sabbath is important to born again NEW Testament believers, why didn’t even hint much less instruct even one saint to keep a certain day in all 27 books of the New Testament canon?” Needless to say, he was without an answer and rebuked. Then I asked him, “IF keeping a sabbath or any part of the old law for righteousness was essential or even important to NEW Testament believers, why in the first council of the apostles in Acts 15, when this exact issue was addressed, did the apostles of Christ say nothing of keeping a certain day or any part of the law for righteousness? Did the Almighty forget to tell us something we needed to know?”
In this group meeting, I proceeded to address the “evil worker” who had “crept in unawares”…. (Philippians 3:1-2, 18-19; Jude 3-4) Taking direct aim …. here’s how more of the conversation went:
“In fact, not only did the LORD instruct no one to keep any certain day, His apostle Paul was concerned at those who’d fallen from grace because they counted ‘days, and months, and times, and years’ important! He said to these now lost souls (“AGAIN”) his labor was useless if such were important (Galatians 4:9-11, 19)! They had fallen from saving grace – and were no longer saved for having departed from Christ to law-keeping! Blasphemy! (Galatians 2:21)
We also see the confirming the saints in the Gospel of the grace of God by faith in Christ…. Re-establishing this truth over and over.
Scripture overwhelmed this man and therefore he abruptly stood up and darted for the door …. praise God! Oil and water cannot and will not mix. Law or grace – EVERYONE must choose! Can’t be both nor a mixture! As this judaizer was told, if a person chooses law, he has openly blasphemed and rejected Jesus Christ!
“I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” Galatians 2:21
Did you catch that? You see, if we go back to law keeping, we blaspheme God by rejecting the perfect sinless sacrifice of His only begotten Son – saying openly that God the Father was a fool to send His only begotten Son for us! Such says we can be righteous on our own without the LORD! But Scripture assures us that “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” (Isaiah 64:6) Could He have been any clearer?
More than any other soul damning heresy, Paul battled against the judaizing devils of his day. Nothing has changed saints! You and I are now the defenders of “the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” (Jude 3)
“Earnestly contend” is putting it lightly when we read Paul saints (Acts 15:1-2; Philippians 3:1-21, etc.). Let’s emulate the LORD’s apostle by upbraiding, exposing, busting, and rebuking every judaizing devil we encounter! Are you Scripturally armed and therefore dangerous to the devil on this topic?
Memorize Romans 10:4 today! King James Bible.
“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation (BY GRACE AND FAITH NOT LAW!), it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jude 3-4
