Years of refusing to recognize the signs because they were too negative, and to spiritually prepare according, has produced a great number of professing Christians that are empty, swept, and garnished. They are so focused on wringing as much satisfaction out of life as possible. Before long, it will be like wringing a dry towel.
The closer it gets to the dark storm of great trouble the clearer I see. Life is not about stuff. It’s not about bigger, better, and more. It is not about wringing all the fun and pleasure out of each day, life as a big party, or chasing wealth or fame.
It is about the time in timelessness when you stand before God. You can believe those “salvation” doctrines that exempt you from hell or from doing anything for God’s will, or believe Jesus’s Parable of the Talents. The one that did not believe in works-required Christ-following had a great awakening. Too bad it didn’t happen on earth where it might have affected other people happily headed for the same judgment.
‘And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ — Matthew 25:30
Before the man was cast into outer darkness, Christ said:
“Thou wicked and slothful (lazy) servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:” — Matthew 25:26
Can you believe that Christ counted it as wickedness not to be productive? It’s time to wake up, shake up, look up, if you want to go up. This world is decaying and your life is as a vapor. Too soon you will realize it’s all gone and you cannot get it back.
