Jeremiah 21:9, the Two Ways by Travis Bryan III

He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey.

The previous verse says, “Thus says the Lord, ‘I am setting before you the way of life and the way of death.’ ”

Notice here there are two ways offered.  These two are still the only spiritual options today.  I call them cross-moment decisions.  The first is the way of KEEPING which ends in death.  The other is the way of LOSING which ends in life, eternal life.

The ones who remained in their place (comfort zone) and kept all their possessions ended in death.

The ones willing to go out of the city, fall (surrender to the enemy) losing their comfort zone and their property ended up living.

It is the same today.  The way of life is loss of self.  The way of death is to keep self.

The way of victory is to surrender and fall into the cross then be raised from the dead with Christ-the way of life.
This is to leave the world (and self) and be crucified unto it.  Gal 6:14.
