Apostasy

I’m More Comfortable Outside a Church Building on Sunday Morning

Where are you more comfortable? Why?

HAVE YOU READ THROUGH THE BOOK OF ACTS LATELY? IT OFFERS THE TEACHINGS/DOCTRINES, APPROACH, WORKS, WORSHIP, EVANGELISM, AND HISTORY OF THE EARLIEST FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST WITHOUT THE LAYERS OF DECEPTION YOU GET FROM MODERN HIRELINGS. WHEN YOU GET A TASTE OF WHAT THE EARLIEST SAINTS TAUGHT AND DID AS THEY EXTENDED THE MINISTRY OF JESUS, YOU BEGIN TO DISCOVER THAT MOST LOCAL CHURCHES TODAY DO NOT EVEN REMOTELY RECONCILE.

The pristine (unspoiled) state of the early worship of Christ’s saints:

“Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. 42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” Acts 2:41-47

—- FELLOWSHIPPING with other believers is NOT a suggest but rather a divine command. If you are going to follow Christ it’s time to repent and begin prioritizing fellowship with His saints, period. … Jesus gathered and fellowshipped with His disciples often, even daily (Acts 2:40-47, etc.). And, so did the earliest followers of Jesus. What makes us think this essential has somehow become unimportant? Are you scheduling in fellowship with other saints? If not, ask the LORD to forgive you now and do it immediately.

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

Scripture instructs us to fellowship with other believers and EVERY true Christian will do so. God would have His people be His church and not be so intent upon finding a local, building-based church congregation, the vast majority of which are completely apostate. Praying and looking for His people to fellowship with seems to be the better perspective.

“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;” Ephesians 4:14

What discerning saints can observe, after being in several fellowships over the years, is that all it takes is for one wind of error or imbalance to blow through one of the leaders and it effects the whole congregation.

Have you noticed how when the pastor or pastoral staff goes off to a conference, they will come back with some sort of error they picked up from the leaders of the church organization they’ve chosen to be connected to?

Most recently, I was a part of a fellowship that was learning and pushing the idea that certain parts of the New Testament canon don’t at all apply to Gentiles saints but only to the Jews. So, in this teaching, they’re acting as if God gave them permission to remove things from His Word. This is warned about in Revelation 22:18-19 as a violation with the price of one’s name being removed from the Lamb’s book of life (Revelation 22:18-19).

Those selling you on the idea that ministry happens in their “church building” are the very frauds Jesus warns us about so often. READ GOD’S WORD FOR YOURSELF. As you do, ask: “Where did the vast majority (if not nearly all) of ministry occur with Jesus and His apostles? Answer: In towns, in between towns, in houses, on the mount, on Mars Hill, nearly everywhere except a so-called church building. There were synagoges and yes they preached there till they were thrown out. The “church building” scam as we see it today didn’t come into play till the third to fourth century when the antichrist roman catholic cult was forming. (the book “Pagan Christianity” comes to mind as a real eye opener).
