Does 2 Chronicles 7:14 Apply Today?

America in the Balance? Do God's People Hold the Key? Does America Matter to the LORD? 6 proofs that 2 Chronicles 7:14 applies today as much if not even more than when it was originally spoken .....

America in the Balance? Do God’s People Hold the Key? Does America Matter to God?

repent010First things first ….

Many have been led to believe that a revival is coming. These are church-going tares who do not obey the LORD on a “daily” basis and therefore are not His. They wait around for some mysterious revival that is supposedly coming, wasting hours, days, weeks, months, years, and decades serving the god of self.

Staged “revivals”… Have you ever been to a several day “revival” that did nothing more than wear you out? Personal revival only happens when there is an individual turning back to God (repentance) and a true resting under the shadow of His wings … Listen to Hosea the prophet…… “They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.” (Hosea 14:7)

YOU WAITING FOR SOME SO-CALLED ELUSIVE “REVIVAL”? YOU KNOW, THE ONE WOLVES HAVE BEEN SAYING IS COMING FOR DECADES? OR, ARE YOU ABOUT THE “FATHER’S BUSINESS” NOW? (Luke 2:49) YOU WAITING AROUND TO SEE IF EVERYONE IN THIS COUNTRY STARTS GOING BACK TO A CHURCH BUILDING ON SUNDAY MORNING AFTER THE NEXT 911, FLOOD, OR CATASTROPHE? DELUSIONAL! IS GOING TO A CHURCH BUILDING THE ANSWER TO AMERICA’S SIN? NO! IN MOST CASES THAT IS JUST ANOTHER GATEWAY TO HELL! Forget waiting till Sunday: Let’s ALL bow down before the LORD Almighty TODAY in repentance (2 Chronicles 7:14). Jesus says that only those who “repent,” lay down their life, and serve Him “DAILY” are in His kingdom (Luke 9:23-24; 13:3, 24; 14:33; 17:33, etc.). There’s no such thing as a “Sunday Christian.” A large part of the problem in American is that the wolves who control the buildings we call “church” have led us to believe that being a Christian is patronizing their church busine$$ on Sunday morning. There is no such model in the New Testament Scripture other than 2 Peter 2:1-3 which is a warning of the “false teachers” and “false prophets” who “make merchandise of you.” TODAY is the day of repentance and salvation, period! (Acts 17:30; 2 Corinthians 6:2)

Revival is ALREADY happening in the lives of those who truly know Jesus and therefore obey Him daily! If you are not experiencing the resurrection power of Christ in your daily life, it’s because you are not submitting to Christ – in the daily cross – crucified life (2 Corinthians 4:10-12; Galatians 2:20).
Elizabeth Tyrna writes: Jesus is our Head, the oil is poured over His head down His body (ref Psalm 133) The church (under the Head) collectively has no power (anointing) because of the sin/merging with false doctrines existing in most churches today. There is a remnant who are anointed and shall do great exploits. These are the ones about our Father’s business. May we be counted as the good servants when Jesus returns. Blessings in Jesus!”
RECENTLY, I saw a piece online here of someone attempting to explain away 2 Chronicles 7:14, saying it wasn’t applicable to New Testament Christians. Wow. Now that is utterly ridiculous. Every aspect of these divinely inspired truths found in 2 Chronicles 7:14 are applicable to New Testament believers – which the Bible itself, the New Testament, promised would be the case. Read Romans 15:4 and 1 Corinthians 10:11.
“For whatsoever things were written aforetime (Old Testament Scriptures) were written for OUR learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4
Let’s peak at 2 Chronicles 7:14 for a moment:

repentance001“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

1. “My people” – Does God have a people today? Yes. 1 Peter 2:5, 9, etc..
2. “Humble themselves” – Is humility taught in the New Testament? Yes. Matthew 20:24-28; 23:10-12; Philippians 2:3-10; James 4:6-10; 1 Peter 5:6,, etc.
3. “Seek my face” – Did Jesus and His holy apostles teach New Testament saints to seek the LORD’s face? Yes. Matthewtruth-america 6:33; Colossians 3:1; Hebrews 11:6; 12:1-2, etc.
4. “Turn from their wicked ways” – Are New Testament Christians commanded to repent and turn from our wicked ways? Yes. Matthew 3:2, 7-10; 4:17; Acts 2:38-40; 17:30; 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1; Revelation 2-3, etc.
5. “Will forgive their sin” – Did God promise to forgive our sins if we confess them? 1 John 1:9, etc.
6. “Will heal their land” – Will the LORD heal the land of the hearts of those His children when they truly repent and confess any and all sin? Yes. Jesus told us that He came to “heal the brokenhearted.” Listen to the glorious Lamb of God as He gives us His divine mission statement saints:
nightfall01“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,” Luke 4:18
As we truly and sincerely humble ourselves and repent, confessing all sin, will Jesus not heal the land of our hearts and the cities, states, and countries we live in under the New Covenant which is “based upon BETTER promises” than the old? (Hebrews 8:6) Yes.

“And seek the peace of the city (state, nation) whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.” Jeremiah 29:7

The verses which follow 2 Chronicles tell us:
lapa5“Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. 16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.” 2 Chronicles 7:15-16
God used His people to change the places they lived under the now obsolete and infinitely inferior Old Covenant and yet He won’t do the same now? Nonsense.
Jesus says we are “the salt of the earth” which means the preservative of the lands we live in and in particular in order that we might be His “ambassadors” who preach His saving Gospel to see him save souls for His eternal family! (Matthew 5:13; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20) Read Revelation 21.
No, primarily, we are not on this earth to make this a better place and yet, seeing Christ save lost souls as we obey His Great Commission, definitely means things would be more conducive to even more accomplishing of His Great Commission mandate in this late hour!
PredatorsBookshelfListen to Jesus:
“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16
If we do not preach while we can, will He not remove our candlestick? Will Jesus not allow us to be trampled under foot? Will darkness not prevail if we preach not the light of His truth?
“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” John 9:4
“Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you.” John 12:35
Are you about the Father’s business today? Have you been ministering to the lost?
revo05This is not a “kingdom now” message as is the false dominionism preached by some today!
It’s past time to truly repent, cease following and funding false ministries who “mind earthly (fleshly) things”, and get about the Father’s business of winning lost souls, learning and teaching the Word of God together! That’s Christ’s Great Commission command summed up! (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20, etc.) That’s the “salt” Jesus is speaking of. The nation of America was raised up to be a beacon of light to the world and yet, due to the great apostasy of those who profess to know God, has fallen. The false gospel and “strange fire” offered by many is polluted bread upon the altar of self-service and thereby has poisoned and polluted the minds of many here and abroad (Leviticus 10:1-2; Malachi 1:7). Those who peddle any other Gospel than the original Gospel, are “accursed.” (Galatians 1:6-9). Repenting and turning from our wicked ways in deep humility, fasting, and the daily cross, will bring the healing God has ordained to the body of Christ! The results will be a growing, healthy body of believers – the very bride of Christ – ready to meet Jesus! See Ephesians 5:25-27 for the Bride Jesus will soon return for – and to see if you personally fit the description.

Christ is the only answer to man’s core problem which is sin AND …. only God’s people can offer that Solution!

“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22:17

It seems apparent to this disciples that God’s people would be moved to not only begin with repentance and humility, but then to be moved to do something – such as vote for the candidate who more closely aligns with Holy Writ.

When for whatever reason a Christian says politics don’t matter, it reveals that such a person is completely clueless to the blessing we’ve been born into and are now losing – a blessing granted by God to us via our forefathers in this country.

  1. The office of president is a secular and NOT a Christian office (although a Christian can hold that office), 2.There is NO SUCH thing as a perfect man – a man who hasn’t sinned (except Jesus and He’s in Heaven), 3. Yes, Jesus says “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her” (John 8:7), 4. The office of president is the leader of the civil system that God ordained to punish those who do evil: “for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. … 6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.” (Romans 14:4, 6)

President is a SECULAR office and not an office within the church (1 Tim. 3). Romans 13 details the purpose for secular gov’t – “for the punishment of evil doers.” AND, so it should be more than obvious that Trump is more fit for such. You are over spiritualizing things. Jer. 29:7 seems to point to our responsibility to be good stewards of our city/state/nation – “And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.” 1 Timothy 2:1-5 tells us to pray for these men in authority and so it seems obvious we should not just let satan’s children choose them when we ourselves have the chance to vote.
