Jesus gave no conditions? The Son of God and His holy apostles gave no warnings? WHAT Bible are you reading?! Anyone who believes that Jesus didn’t give conditions to initially receive His salvation, retain it (final salvation), and repeated warnings, is completely and willingly deceived… biblical illiterate. Listen to Jesus …..”
“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3
Every instruction, every command Jesus gave is a condition and for us holds the opportunity to be obeyed or disobeyed.
If the LORD gave us conditions, and He did, they must be met to receive His blessing of eternal glory.
IF you currently believe OSAS and will but for a moment get honest, you will admit you only believe this lie for self-serving purposes. You are a moral coward who refuses to truly repent and lay down your life in this sinful world. You want Jesus to save you from hell but refuse to know, abide in, and lay down your life for this Savior you pretend to know.
Jesus did His work perfection on the cross – “It is finished” (John 19:30). Yet Jesus gave conditions for men to be saved – repent, believe upon Him, and endure to the end of ones life in an abiding relationship with Him or be thrown into the fire (John 15:6). The Bible reveals both initial and final salvation into eternal glory (Matthew 10:22; 24:14; Col. 1:22-23; Heb. 3:6, 12-14; 10:26-39; 2 Pet 1:10-11; Rev 2-3, etc.).
There’s no such thing as an honest Bible student who believes the fairy tale myth of OSAS.
WILL you be found “worthy”? Is being ready or “worthy” to be received into eternal glory only contingent on a one-time repentance and faith in Christ? No. Jesus warns: “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” (Luke 21:34-36) Please explain why Jesus taught this – spoke these words – if OSAS is biblical.
Michael D. Juzwick writes: “All will be without excuse! I am amazed how willfully ignorant of the Holy Bible the multitudes of so called Christians are in these final hours. Which will give way to the strong delusion God will be sending them.”
Salvation is past, present, and future:
“Who delivered us from so great a death (past), and doth deliver (present): in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us (future);” 2 Corinthians 1:10
Jesus will save into His holy Heaven all who initially and at death are meeting HIS conditions. The moral coward hates this truth because he is serving self and not the Savior.
“If a man abide (remain) not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” John 15:6
OSAS (once saved always saved) is the doctrine of devils moral cowards who refuse to lay down their lives in this fleeting world and so Satan has given them the OSAS excuse! They do not love the truth and are therefore sent a “strong delusion” from God Himself (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12). Jesus cannot be mocked and will judge (Galatians 6:7-8). Hell awaits all who do not repent and reaming in Christ to the end (John 15:6; Matthew 10:22; 24:13, etc.).
Teddy Caldwell writes: “The fact that unbelievers are not the only ones going to hell should be a huge red flag. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Paul told those already washed, sanctified, and just in the name of the Lord Jesus to BE NOT DECEIVED before identifying certain sense and declare those who do them will not inherit the kingdom of God? If OSAS was true, believers could fornicate, commit adultery, etc all they wanted and not have to worry about being excluded from the kingdom. Shortly after that, the Apostle Paul acknowledged that even he can become a Castaway (1 Corinthians 9:27). And look at all the times the word IF appears in verses dealing with salvation. For instance, we are made partakers of Christ IF we hold our confidence stedfast unto the end. Hebrew 3:14.”
When moral cowards love self more than the Savior, refusing to truly repent, they want to make excuse for their sin instead of taking up the cross daily and crucifying it. Time to repent before it’s too late… which will result in a laid down life.
“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.” Ezekiel 18:30
No man can take our crown? If so WHY did Jesus give this warning TO HIS OWN PEOPLE?
“Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” Revelation 3:11
To those who once received Christ in the past and yet today do not seek and walk with Him and yet still believe they are going to Heaven: That is your problem. You ceased enduring (holding yourself accountable to) sound doctrine, fulfilling the prophecy of 2 Timothy 4:2-4. So now you live in sin, delusionally believing your are going to God’s holy Heaven? What kind of people/church is Jesus coming back for?
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure (Gr. Hold themselves accountable to) sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:2-4
Joseph Spillman writes: “We are volitional beings. What kind of Heaven would exist if people who had turned their back on God were allowed entrance? That is why God is so specific in Revelation about what disqualifies someone from entrance into His kingdom But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.Revelation 21:8 I do not believe in ‘roulette’, the notion that if we have a momentary lapse and suddenly die that we go to hell. I don’t know what the point of no return is but I know there is one because the Bible says as much. If we are taking a vote I would vote for OSAS but the Kingdom of God is a kingdom and not a democracy. Whether we live better or not is not the ultimate criterion concerning what is true or not true.”
Enduring to the end of our lives in an abiding relationship with Christ is essential and is not automatic, and involves loving and obeying the LORD all the way to the end or losing all (Matthew 10:22; 24:13, etc.). Jesus told ALL 7 CHURCHES that only those among them who overcome will be in eternal glory (Revelation 2-3). Doesn’t sound like eternal security or OSAS to me.
NO ONE accidentally learns God’s Word. Many who say they’ve been saved for years are biblically illiterate. They like it that way because they vainly believe that God excuses them from truth because they don’t know it. But God’s Word promises that “MY people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6).
Many have followed some other mere man’s line through Scripture and believe all kinds of false doctrines like OSAS. Those who don’t have time for God are lost souls – self-serving, Savior-rejecting counterfeits.
Just because you learned a lie first doesn’t make it any less a lie. Some people have never studied out a topic and yet act like the expert on it. SMH They simply pass on the lie they were taught. Such are not noble, honest students and they are lazy (Acts 17:10-11; 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17).
JUST because we believe something, doesn’t make it true. Let’s get over ourselves!
