“The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” Ezekiel 18:4
Jesus invented the term “fall away” and so to say you can’t is to call Him a liar.
Read Luke 8:13. Here it is:
“They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.” Luke 8:13
In John 6:47 Jesus told us “He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” Note that Jesus says these are those who “believe” which means they were saved (same Greek word as in John 6:47). Then the Son of God tells us they “fall away.” Any person who teaches you can’t “fall away” after believing/being saved is a liar while they call Jesus a liar! Repent!
Also, Paul wrote and foretold: “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly (specifically), that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” 1 Timothy 4:1-2
Here Paul tells us that in these last days “some shall depart from the faith.” Only a liar would teach contrary to Scripture. The Holy Spirit then tells us that “seducing spirits (demons)” are behind this “doctrines(s) of devils.” This plainly reveals to us that all who believe this un-conditional eternal security lie are under the influence of Satan.
Are you going to go by what you think or by what God’s Word says? In John 8:47 says: “He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.” …. The truth-seeking true disciple of Jesus will always sacrifice a false notion on the altar of God’s Word.
There is no guarantee of eternal glory to any person who got saved and yet is not in an intimate, abiding (remaining/continuing) relationship with Jesus – “If a man abide (remain) not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” (John 15:6). Read your Bible and stop listening to false teachers! SO MANY cross-less tares among us use self-serving human reasoning to draw conclusions instead of searching out and studying diligently God’s Word. …. Hell is full of people who believed OSAS (once saved always saved) in order to avoid truly laying down their lives in this sinful world. They want Jesus to save them from hell but not sin. These counterfeits have a mere “form of godliness, but (are) denying the power (divine authority) thereof.” (2 Timothy 3:5)
Some Erroneously Say:
“If we are truly born again THEN WE CAN NEVER DIE, this is true eternal life.”
The Bible says:
Not true. Please adhere to what the Bible teaches and cease passing on lies. By saying this, you have just said that OSAS is true when it’s a lie. The wages of sin is DEATH – dying. If a born again Christian goes back to sin he dies spiritually. To say otherwise is to deny that God is Holy and fellowships with sinful people. See Romans 6:16, 23 Oh and notice what we read in Luke 15 in the story of the prodigal son – “alive AGAIN” …
“For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.” Luke 15:24
“It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.” Luke 15:32
AFTER reading this verse, if you are true to Christ, you can NEVER again believe that a “RIGHTEOUS” man cannot go back into sin and die spiritually. Not only is this a ludicrous notion, it’s false. Listen: “But when THE RIGHTEOUS turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.” Ezekiel 18:24
Speaking to His own people, the LORD says that “the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” (Ezekiel 18:4) God owns all souls and will give death to those who live in sin (Ezekiel 18:4; Romans 6:23, etc.). He was speaking to His own people when He told us this so that means that includes all born again Christians.
“What’s Damning about OSAS teaching is that it does not teach believers to carefully Examine themselves nor does it help one to see their Spiritual Poverty.” William Pavichevich
This OSAS heresy is a cop out and a denial of Christ’s teaching that a saved person can “fall away.” (Luke 8:13) Jesus invented and used this term and so it must be possible. It’s the counterfeit who denies Christ instead of self in his daily life who loves this OSAS lie from hell. Such a person wants the LORD to save him from hell but not from sin – the reason Jesus came.
“Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.” Titus 2:14-15
“But IF we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7
Please cease promulgating this calvinistic “perseverance of the saints” lie.
To say a born again Christian can never sin means he has no free will. False. To say a born again Christian, who is free to sin or live righteously, doesn’t die spiritually when he sins (especially habitually), is to say that God is no longer “Holy, holy, holy.” (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8)
“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.” Ezekiel 18:30
The Bible is our safety – so we are not misled by our own hearts or wolves! Psalms 119:105; Proverbs 30:5-6
ALWAYS GO with God’s Word. Change to conform to it! Romans 3:4
The false faith of many is built on that which contradicts the testimony Scripture.
BE READY to ditch all that does not align with God’s Word. Teachability is a must!
WISE virgins are correctable! They only want God’s truth (2 Timothy 3:16).
Jesus’ true followers cling to His Word not traditions/false notions.
To their own eternal destruction, counterfeits twist and ignore God’s Word as they see fit in order to keep their tradition/lie (Mark 7:6-9; 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12).
Beware of choosing human reasoning over God’s Word!
Rich Brown writes: “OSAS believers focus too much on God’s unconditional love, promises of security, being predestined, adopted, etc…and forget about His judgment, warnings and wrath. They think that just because God loves them unconditionally, He won’t punish them for whatever sins they commit, because they believe that they are eternally saved and secure—which is a big lie from Satan. A preacher who doesn’t preach sin, Hell and repentance is Hell-bound, and so are his followers. They look for loopholes in the plain teaching of Scripture to excuse their disobedience to God, and skillfully twist God’s Word to suit their own beliefs.”
“OSAS is the biggest lie of most evangelical churches today, the apostate church that is.” Rich Brown
