Am I About My Father’s Business? [podcast]

“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” John 9:4

“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.” Luke 9:23-24

Simply put, those who live for their own self interests deny Christ. Those who live for Christ’s interests glorify Him in laying down their lives so He can live through them.

“And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 8:37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:34-38

If I am not serving Him – the exact way He told me to in His Word – it is because I am ashamed of Him and serving my own self interests. If such is the case with my life, why would I want to be a total hypocrite by claiming verbally to be a child of God?

“And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist (knew) ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?” Luke 2:49

— THE TRUE body of Christ is not entangled in wasting their time or resources on political action or any such frivolous cause, but rather about  their “Father’s business” which is to seek out the lost and nourish, feed, and equip the saved.

—- WILL YOU DARE TO PRAY THIS?: “LORD, right this moment, I lay down my life, the one You gave me, and beg You to fill and possess me fully – to consume me. Fill me with Your love overflowing and live Your life through this vessel. I love You supremely Jesus. Now Father we are asking You … I AM ASKING YOU …. Right here and now to begin to DEFUND the kingdoms of the wicked wolves who are snaring and bringing damnation to those who were once Your sheep and have since departed from Thee out of greedy, covetous hearts, loving this present world to their own eternal damnation. We ask You here and now to send a strong rebuke to their hearts, calling them to return to You before it’s too late. And, also, that You would right now begin to fill those pastoral watchmen You’ve called out as fools for Christ who ransom their lives in this fallen world, sending out Your warnings. Heavenly Father in Jesus’ name, please send forth Thy labourers holy Father and bless them to be supplied to accomplish Your work in this late hour! Open the hearts of those who hear Your Word. Multiply the hearers and the fruit of saved souls! Make Your labourers abundant in all things to accomplish YOUR will in this critical, late hour before Your soon return Jesus. In Jesus’ name, amen!”
