A Glorious High Throne [podcast]

“A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary.” Jeremiah 17:12

As one is taken by Christ into the burial of the self-life, he will steadily lose his grip on and affection for the momentary trinkets of this passing world, and for the glamour and praise of mere men. Moved by the fear of the LORD, his allegiance and the affections of his heart will then begin to ascend to the “glorious high throne from the beginning” which “is the place of our sanctuary” (Jer. 17:12).

“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18

HEALING can ONLY come from Christ and He has chosen in part to use His body to apply such divine healing to those around us! As those whom Jesus has found and regenerated, we are His very “ambassadors”! See 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 …. Today He calls us to come before Him afresh by the way He made by His own blood ….. as He works in us, He will then work through us.

Coming Boldly … in repentance and faith! (Acts 20:21)

Do you need mercy for your sins and divine grace (divine enablement to overcome)? This is exactly why God gave His only begotten Son for our sins (1 John 1:6-10; 2:1-2).

“Let us therefore come boldly (confidently because of Christ) unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

“The main thing about Christianity is not the works we do, but the relationship we maintain and the atmosphere produced by that relationship. That is all God asks us to look after, and it is the one thing that is being continually assailed.” Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest

On social media there is lots of click bait available about ‘how to pray a special magic potion, formula prayer’ with very little or nothing about how to live the crucified life, the cross (Luke 9:23-24). The fervent and correct prayer will always be born out of the cross life.

Knowing, worshipping, obeying, and walking in an abiding relationship is what’s most important. Answered prayer springs forth out of this relationship (John 17:3; Philippians 3:10; James 4:3; 1 John 5:14-15). Jesus inseparably forged an abiding relationship with Himself and prayer.

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7

Prayer is inseparably connected with knowing God (John 17:3).
